I am sorry that I haven’t written on my blog for a while.
In September it was such a joy to have Maria and Carolin join Latin Link Peru as Striders, to help them settle into life Peru, the Latin Link Peru team and their new ministries. It’s great to have them as part of the team.
After many years of prayer we have the wonderful Maria, as our mission mobiliser. In other words, she is the person who works in partnership with various mission agencies and networks in order to inspire and train local churches to send and support missionaries from Peru. She will also help support those wishing to be sent out with Latin Link from Peru. I will be working closely with her and am so thankful to God for the way she came to be involved with Latin Link.
I am delighted that we are preparing for new Striders to join us and be sent out from Peru this year. After all the restrictions of the past two years it feels like the doors are opening up again. Please do pray for all involved in seeking God’s will and guidance as we start to plan for life after the pandemic.

My time with Arequipa English finished at the end of November and I am grateful for the 5 years I had teaching and doing Bible studies with the students each year. It has been a great joy sharing time with them, seeing them grow in their relationship with Jesus and continuing to go deeper with Him. God willing, Arequipa English will return to in person classes in March, which is the start of the new school year in Peru.
I continued to settle into life in Lima and spending time with Carlos in person. We are excited as we plan and prepare for our marriage later this year.
For the past three months I have been in the UK, the last two of which have been in Scotland. I am extremely grateful for the provision of always having somewhere to stay, for the many meet-ups I have been able to have both in person and online, and being able to spend time with my sending church Ps and Gs in Edinburgh. I was interviewed during some services, including one of their online services. The online interview can be seen here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlSNea8vzC0

I am now back in England and as well as continuing to see family and friends I have some paperwork and formal things to complete.
I look forward to going back to Peru and to all God has planned for my next term of service. There is a lot of change coming, but know that God is with me every step of the way. He continues to be so generous and good to me.
– for safe travel back to the UK and time spent with family and friends
– for my time with my sending church in Edinburgh
– for Maria, our mission mobiliser
– preparations for new Striders later in the year
– for all the paperwork that needs to be done while in the UK
– as I return to Peru and settle back into life and all the exciting changes to come
I am the Latin Link Short Term Coordiantor (STC) for Peru. The STC coordinates the Step (teams) and Stride (people) programmes, placing them in projects lasting from a few weeks to two years. Now based in Lima, I will be getting involved in a local church and my local community.
